Terms of use

These terms cover your use of DueCircle. The most important point: we are a record-keeping tool, not a bank, and we never hold or move your money.

What this service is

DueCircle is a record-keeping tool for money shared between people. It helps you record expenses, divide them, track bills and see balances.
It is not a bank, a payment service, a lender, or a licensed financial adviser. We never hold, transfer, or move your money. Any settlement you agree with your group is paid directly between you, outside this service.
Figures shown — including balances, settlement plans, budget comparisons and any loan or EMI estimates — are informational. You are responsible for checking them before acting on them.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and you are responsible for keeping your password secure.
You are responsible for the content you add, including that you have the right to upload any receipt or attachment.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country. If you are under that age, you may only use the service with a parent or guardian's involvement.

Do not use the service to break the law, harass anyone, or misrepresent shared financial obligations to deceive another person.
Do not attempt to access groups or data you have not been invited to, probe or disrupt the service, or scrape it at scale.
We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things, and will do so where it protects other users.

DueCircle is free to use. There is no premium tier, no subscription, and no feature reserved for paying users.
The service is funded by advertising on our public pages. We may change how we fund the service in future, but any change will be announced in advance and will not retroactively charge you for use that was free.

We aim for the service to be available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, faults and third-party outages happen.
We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you can do, we will give notice and, where practical, a way to export your data first.

The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial decisions made on the basis of figures recorded or calculated in the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. If you own a group, you can transfer ownership first so the other members keep their history.
We may end your access if you materially breach these terms, and will tell you why unless prevented by law.
