Everything shared money actually needs

Splitting a bill is the easy part. Shared money is changing groups, several currencies and a year of history nobody can reconstruct. Here is what DueCircle does today — and what's on the way, marked clearly. All of it free.

Splits that always add up

Equal, exact, percentage, shares or custom — every method is checked against the total before it can save.

Most splitting tools round each person's share independently, which is how a ₹100 bill across three people quietly becomes ₹99.99. DueCircle allocates in whole minor units using the largest-remainder method, so the shares always sum back to exactly what was paid. When a rounding unit is left over, we name the person who absorbed it rather than hiding the discrepancy. If a custom split doesn't match the total, saving is blocked and the exact difference is shown.

Bills you stop forgetting

Coming soon

Recurring bills with due dates and reminders — rent, utilities, insurance, school fees and loan payments.

A dedicated bills area is on the way: add a bill once with its due date and recurrence, get a reminder before it falls due, assign who is responsible, and see anything overdue on the group dashboard. This is not in the app yet — for now you can record these as ordinary expenses. We would rather tell you it is coming than pretend it is already here.

This month against last month

Coming soon

Budgets and plain-language, category-by-category spending comparisons — on the roadmap.

The plan is to tell you “Groceries are ₹2,100 / 18% higher than last month” rather than making you read a chart, and to separate being over budget from simply spending more than last month. Budgets and month-on-month insights are not built yet; today the app shows your current month's spending total. This one is on the roadmap.

Any currency, from day one

Yen with no decimals, dinars with three, rupees and dollars with two — all handled correctly.

Every amount carries its own currency and is stored as an exact whole number of minor units. That means Japanese yen (no decimal places) and Kuwaiti dinar (three) are handled properly rather than being assumed to be cents. In a mixed-currency group, each currency's balance is kept separately, so nothing is silently converted at a rate you did not choose.

Notes and reminders that belong to the group

Coming soon

“Bring passports.” “Submit the school form.” A shared notes area — on the roadmap.

Shared money involves more than transactions, so a group notes and reminders area — with checklists, attachments, due dates and comments, pinning, and admin-only notes — is on the roadmap. It is not in the app yet; for now, each expense can carry a free-text note. We will build the dedicated area rather than claim it early.

Private by design

Group data never crosses into another group, and we never connect to your bank.

Every expense and balance belongs to exactly one group, and group data never crosses into another group. The group's creator is its admin; finer-grained roles, such as view-only access, are planned. DueCircle never connects to a bank account or card, never holds your money, and stores the minimum personal data needed to run your groups.

Free forever

All of it, free forever

No premium tier holds anything back. Every feature that's live is free for every user from the moment they sign up — and the ones marked “coming soon” will be free too.
